Amputee/Prosthetic Training

The physical therapists at Eastern Shore Physical Therapy in Berlin will work closely with each patient to help restore strength and confidence, regain function and mobility and build an independent and rewarding life regardless of what type of limb amputation. Amputee rehab consists of strengthening your arms and legs and residual limb, stretching, and instruction in the use of a prosthetic and an assistive device, such as a walker or cane. The types of limb amputations that are most commonly treated at ESPT are above-knee amputations (AKA), below-knee amputations (BKA), and toe and partial foot amputations.
