Angie was licensed as a PTA in Florida in 2010 as she began a second career in physical therapy which first took her to Denver, Colorado. After 5 years in a skilled nursing facility in Boulder, she returned to Maryland, her birthplace, and specifically to Berlin which had her heart as the town where she had met her husband in her late teens. In Berlin she worked at Berlin Nursing and Rehab and then on to the out-patient setting focusing on treatment for balance. She has also had part time experience in hospital rehab broadening her experience to include acute care, stroke and orthopedics.
Angie has a strong fundamental training in ballet (she grew up in her mother’s dance studio in Linthicum, Maryland) and continues to practice yoga regularly. She finds joy in seeing patients regain strength and function, especially as it relates to helping aging adults remain independent at home living with quality of life and fulfillment.
Angie is certified as an LSVT (BIG) clinician for treating people with Parkinsons.
Angie’s favorite things include hiking, skiing, reading and life-long learning. Other interesting things: She holds a BS in Journalism with a minor in dance from the University of Maryland, she has made a skydive, she lived 10 years in Key Largo working in real estate and scuba diving. In April 2023 she and her husband took their dream trip: a 4-month, 14000-mile cross country camping trip to spend the month of June in Alaska.
