Kathleen has been living on the Eastern Shore since 1989. Kathleen received her Bachelors of Science in Health Fitness and a Minor in Biology in 1994 from Salisbury University. Kathleen received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 1998. Kathleen received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2004. Kathleen’s Doctorate Capstone Research was “The Efficacy of McConnell Taping to Treat Knee Pain in Patients with Neurological Disorders”.
Kathleen began her career as a physical therapist in 1998 working in the inpatient rehab department at Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital. Kathleen treated patients with a wide variety of disorders, including strokes, traumatic brain injuries, amputees, Parkinson’s, MS, amputees and total knee and hip replacements. In 2001, Kathleen continued to work in the inpatient rehab department but also assisted with inpatient acute care at Atlantic General Hospital. Kathleen assisted AGH with implementing the physical therapy portion of their Joint Program for total knee and hip replacements. Kathleen has taken a wide variety of continuing education courses and has taken a wide variety of continuing education courses that focus on treating patients with balance and gait disorders, neurological disorders (strokes, Parkinson’s, MS), joint injuries and pain relief. Kathleen and Martin are the proud parents of 3 beautiful children. Kathleen enjoys exercising several times a week and she strives to instill the importance of exercising into each one of her patients.
