"ESPT was recommended to me by my doctor after having surgery for a hip tendon repair and aggravated sciatica. The total professional treatment began at the front office with them working the schedules to accommodate me as soon as they could to get me on the road to recovery. I was then introduced to one of the wonderful PT staff who, throughout my evaluation, spoke to me about her findings, recommendations and a plan to move forward with my care. Every physical therapist who works with you is aware of the plan, is consistent with your treatment and cares about how you are doing. I never met anyone who looks forward to PT until I started coming to ESPT. I am now one of those people who looks forward to going because it is working and it is such a pleasant experience due foremost to all of the staff. What a great experience to be surrounded by caring, dedicated and well trained professionals."

"Can’t say enough positive things about Eastern Shore Physical Therapy. From the office staff to the practitioners they are simply the best in the business. Following a seven procedure shoulder surgery ESPT staff had me ahead of the healing curve from day one. After 16 weeks my surgeon was amazing how how much we had accomplished. I highly recommend Eastern Shore Physical Therapy for your rehab needs!"

"ESPT provides first class rehabilitation services. I went in for chronic knee pain after a fall. The therapists took their time to thourghly evaluate my problem. Emily was my therapist. She was caring and no nonsense. It was like having your own personal trainer. Her regimen of rehab exercises significantly improved the movement in my knee and reduced the pain level. I highly recommend Eastern Shore Physical Therapy."

"Came with a pinched nerve in my neck several weeks ago, after about 3 weeks started feeling better by week 6 I was pretty much back to normal, currently still going but believe I'll be 100% by time I'm discharged,would highly recommend coming if in need, staff is very friendly and accommodating."

"This is my second time at Eastern Shore PT. I had been experiencing pain in my right upper arm without injury. Jenna evaluated my complaint and set me onto my treatment plan. I chose to see all the therapists instead of just the same one. Each one of them has their own touch and way of instruction. I personally felt that I gained more knowledge this way. Sanitation of equipment was excellent. Early morning is my thing and had no problem scheduling my appointments in that timeline. It's a sure thing sometime in the future I'll be seeing them again!"

"After injuring myself, I was worried about not being able to play basketball for this upcoming season. But, after a few sessions of physical therapy here, those worries wash away. I even got to play in my basketball tournament in tennessee(we went 3-1!). Overall, this place is amazing and the people here are very positive and supportive. They’re also very friendly and easy to talk to."

"I took advantage of the free shoulder clinic offered by Eastern Shore PT. Jenna gave a very professional and informative presentation. As a result, I felt like they are specialists in the shoulder, so I decided to travel a little farther for my therapy. I am about halfway through my PT sessions at Eastern Shore PT, and could not be happier. Kathleen is my case manager, and she is so knowledgeable and attentive to how my body responds to treatment. She makes adjustments on the spot if needed. Everyone there is so personable, I actually look forward to going to PT 😊 And I actually feel like I’m seeing progress. "I have messed up my right shoulder a couple times. This last time I tore my Bicep. An MRI showed a completely torn rotator cuff. With the help of these professionals, I was able to get other muscles in the shoulder area to compensate for the torn rotator cuff. I have enough pain free movement that I will be postponing any shoulder surgery at this time. Am I pain free, no. Can I do what I need to do, yes. Happy the way it is and will continue the exercises they recommended."

The two receptionists welcome you with smiles and are very accommodating and fit appointments into your personal schedule. All the therapists genuinely care about your issues, they listen and provided the treatment based on your individual needs. Martin, the owner, is especially talented in doing a complete analysis of your problem and very knowledgeable in how to address it so improvement is felt immediately. I commend Jenna, Mark, Angie, and Kathleen also for helping me feel relief. Their recommendations are on target and the follow up exercises help tremendously. I highly recommend that you try them out. You will not be disappointed."

"Everything positively said about Eastern Shore Physical Therapy, located in Berlin, MD, is absolutely true – with the initial recommendation from my husband! Several torn ligaments and extensive arthritis in my knee and hip sent me back for treatment over the last two years. A comprehensive recovery plan is always developed in an understandable manner. Importantly, there are multiple professional follow up appointments to ensure treatment is taking effect. Having worked with most of the therapy staff, they skillfully employ a variety of massage techniques with accompanying activities to restore functioning, stay with you the entire time, and are consistently empathetic and with good humor. I have had multiple surgeries over the years and in each case they have expedited by trip back to wellness. "After hitting my head on vacation, I experienced vertigo so badly that I could not walk a straight line. I immediately went to a PT in Annapolis for the Eply maneuver which was not successful. I went again with no results but when I encountered Jenna at Eastern Shore PT, it was a whole different story. She checked me first for a lingering concussion which neither of the PT's before her had done. Once that was clear , she took me through a set of tasks that lasted about an hour. I was a little woozy for a couple of hours after treatment but after that I had NO issues. I went back for a second appointment and she saw no signs of vertigo. This can be a debilitating issue but there is a solution. I would highly recommend Jenna if you are having any vertigo issues. PT can help! Thanks Jenna! "

"Suffering pain and “pins and needles” from an arthritic shoulder and neck, my doctor referred me to ESPT. I could not be more pleased. I attended a Saturday shoulder clinic workshop that the Eastern Shore Physical Therapy held. They explained why I might have the pain and how it might be remedied. "I was able to attend PT in April after rotator cuff surgery. My experience was wonderful. Very positive, smart group of people. Attentive, aware of your situation and I was able to become fully functional and pain free. Eastern Shore is fully equipped with a myriad of options for treatment. Didn’t think I’d ever be back there, but I woke up with wicked neck pain a month ago. Diagnosed as a pinched nerve. Not good. PT was strongly recommended to avoid surgery. "Had scary chest and back pains that kept me up at night, couldn't figure out the cause.. was thinking maybe I should try a PT to see if its a muscle/alignment problem since my physician told me my blood pressure and ekg (two visits) were almost perfect.. and likely not a heart problem. Gave ESPT a call and was able to get on the schedule within a week. Right from the start Dr Martin was hands on troubleshooting the issues with my back and chest to isolate the problem, and then implementing solutions to address it from multiple angles - breathing, posture correction, stretching, acupressure, more stretching, exercises, etc.. most of which he showed me how to do at home outside of PT. So far I believe we've narrowed the problem down to me doing too many chest workouts over several months without any stretching. Seems like we are on track to fix the problem with 6-8 more weeks of stretching and letting the muscles heal (minimum exercise). I'm grateful for everyone's help and support during all my visits so far and always look forward to every visit."

"I came to Eastern Shore physical therapy in fear of rotator cuff damage. At age 65, I have packed and moved twice between August 2017 and April 2021. I have been enduring the pain and discomfort for a year now. One week ago on my initial consultation I was given two exercises to do twice a day to help gain the flexibility back in my right shoulder. I have not been able to put my right arm behind my right hip for over a year. Today was only my third visit and already I can place the back of my right hand on the back of my right hip, and raise it up and down on my back. "I had previously visited Easter Shore Physical Therapy many years ago and was very happy then, so I wanted to do physical therapy with them after my knee replacement surgery. I also like to support small businesses! Two days after surgery I struggled to make my appointment because of complications from surgery but am very happy I did! "Around the beginning of June, I tore my ACL & meniscus & could not have surgery until August. My doctor was worried about me losing my hyperextension ability due to such the long wait between the initial injury & surgery. I called Eastern Shore Physical Therapy to start pre surgery rehab & was able to get in for an evaluation within a couple of days. I attended pre surgery rehab for a couple of weeks & was able to gain my hyperextension back & avoid having 2 surgeries! I am now currently there for post op physical therapy. "I am eternally thankful for Eastern Shore Physical Therapy and for Kristen’s care. As an active, busy teacher, I started to experience bouts of extreme dizziness, lightheadedness, and nausea at random times during the day. It was concerning, and left me scared and frustrated as I felt like I couldn’t do the things that made me happy without symptoms flaring up. I tried a few remedies from google, or suggested to me, but with little relief. When I came in and discussed my symptoms with Kristen, she was incredibly warm and understanding. I finally felt seen and that I wasn’t going crazy lol. Kristen explained what we needed to do to recalibrate so I would finally feel myself again. After a few sessions of Gaze stabilization exercises I could already tell it was making a difference, and I was finally making some progress. We worked together for weeks, and Kristen was always supportive, patient, & encouraging. At the end of our time together Kristen made sure I had a “toolkit” of exercises to take with me. I have experienced a bit of symptoms from triggers in the years since, but immediately did my exercises & found relief! It's honestly the biggest blessing! "Best Physical Therapy I have ever had. I had a terrible accident that left me unable to move for about 3 months. When I left the hospital I was in and out of wheelchair and mostly dependent on a walker to get around. I started PT at Eastern Shore PT and the improvement has been night and day. I can walk with just one crutch or a cane and am able to do almost everything I could before the accident. I could not be happier with the results so far , I continue to use them about 2-3xs a week and know within a matter of time I will be back to my old self. The staff is amazing, kind, hardworking, and invested in getting you back to the best shape you can be. From Martin and Kathleen, the owners, down to their techs in training like Ava. Everyone there is great. They are very easy to deal with and accommodate to your schedule. "I thought that the staff did a remarkable job with one on one attention to my problem areas. They went above and beyond to try and solve other issues not even connected to the original injury. It was a great idea to send me home with homework and exercises to work on between appointments. In the future I would like to see the outcome tapered directly to my hobbies and interests. "I was first referred to ESPT by a neighbor after I was in an automobile accident. They first tried treating my neck but soon after starting treatment, they suggested that I follow up with a specialist. After MRI’s and a Myelogram, I underwent cervical surgery in Baltimore Md. Following surgery I began therapy again at ESPT. They were empathetic and understanding but pushed me to start building back my muscles and improving my range of motion. They taught me great exercises that I have been able to continue at home. Although I may never be 100%, Martin and his crew of knowledgeable therapists put me on a path to be the best that I can be. "Have suffered with sciatic pain for years. When it flairs up I am hardly able to function. After two visits I felt such such relief ! The first visit was mostly evaluation - determining the best strategies to provide relief. After the second visit I was able to get through the day without prescription medication ( the only strategy my doctor provided). "I come to ESPT between once and 3x each week for continued treatment after a double hip replacement. Their initial assessment included thorough details and specifics of movement range. I feared the changes to my stance, gait and balance suffered permanent compromise; I should just be grateful to not be confined to a wheelchair. I purposely kept my expectations low to spare myself disappointment from having once been a most active, vibrant and flexible person. On the outside I professed great excitement at the prospect of jumping waves, turning cartwheels on the beach and pirouettes strutting the runway in stilettos. "I had a complete knee replacement and reconstructive femur surgery early January 2022. I live in Pocomoke City so I went to a Physical Therapist close to home for six weeks. I was getting no better at all in six weeks time. The PT I was a patient at for the first three week's only scheduled me for two days a week. Which I thought was odd since my Orthopedic surgeon said my PT would be three times a week at the beginning. So then I was told, one day a week for the next three week's. I asked why due to I was not feeling like I was improving. I was told the Physical therapist needed some time off?? So I decided to go to ESPT even though it's a 35 mile ride one way. "I had meniscus repair surgery in May 2021. The injury was roughly 10 years old and there was a 50/50 shot it would take and heal properly. I began physical therapy with Jenna and Mark after 6 weeks of not bearing weight on the leg. While healing, I also developed patellar tendinitis in the same knee, making it basically impossible to do most of the normal PT exercises for this injury. Jenna and Mark were great at helping me not only heal the tendinitis but also get my knee back to 100%. The repaired knee is now mostly healed and I feel better than I have in a decade. "My general practitioner gave me several stretches to try and alleviate shoulder and arm numbness. It had reached the point that it was painful to sleep on my left side. When they didn’t work he told me my next option was and MRI and probably surgery for a pinched nerve. I saw Martin who gave me an evaluation and two simple exercises to address the issue. "My name is Emily and I’m 25 years old. I have had 5 different hip surgeries, the most recent being a hip replacement in May 2020. During this time I have been to many different physical therapy offices and none have been anything like Eastern Shore Physical Therapy. After all of the surgeries I’ve had, I basically had to learn how to walk again and I had a severe limp. This place changed my life and my confidence. Tim was my therapist. "I was diagnosed with a rare cancer August 2018 and underwent the Mother of All Surgeries. Consequently my abdomen was left pretty asymmetrical and my abs were left pretty much flaccid. While I have been clear of recurrence for 2 years, my lack of core strength affected my whole body. Even though I believe no one else could tell, I felt awkward when I walked. And I was in tremendous pain every night. I would wake up during the night and could hardly change position due to the pain. I was trying to get back to some activities but my legs felt uncoordinated. I finally cried my eyes out to my surgical oncologist during a follow up visit in July. He referred me for PT. A coworker recommended ESPT. Wow! What an immediate difference! They found that my pelvis was rotated! No wonder I I felt awkward and had pain! I began therapy 3 days per week. They performed manipulation, soft tissue massage, and instructed me on several core strengthening exercises and activities, both at the facility and to do at home. I eventually dropped to twice a week. I can actually pull my ab muscles in now. I feel much more coordinated. I can sleep without pain whenever I change position. I "graduated" from PT last week. I will be undergoing reconstruction abdominal surgery in the near future. If I need further PT afterwards I will be heading right back to ESPT! But really...what made this experience most memorable was the staff. From Martin to all the techs and aides...it felt like a close family and the patients are warmly welcomed into the family. I looked forward to my sessions not only for the physical benefit but also because I knew I would laugh. I knew instantly that this couple was meant to assist me in rehabilitation journey. So fast forward to 2020, I still suffer from chronic knee pain, inflammation and swelling. "After breaking my ankle on a zipline (bad, bad landing!) my range of motion wasn’t great and I had a fairly pronounced limp. The therapists at ESPT were excellent. (Lauren, Leah and Tim..so far...) And it’s been working! Yes, it’s slow but that’s what therapy is, right? You have to put in the time! I’m sure with their help, I’ll get back to (almost) normal. Highly recommend!"

"At the beginning of the month my lower back, left side, was hurting badly. Did not have the mobility i wanted with out pain. After a month of physical therapy (3 times a week) with PTA David Viscomi, I am now pain free and have my mobility in my back. At 77 this is great to be able to do things without pain. I have used Eastern Shore physical therapy a number of times over the years and they have always come through for me. I would give them 5 stars out of 5, that's how good they are and also the friendly way they treat a person."
